About EBCFPRS examination
When you apply for a fellowship, you automatically apply for funding. Each year, the amount of funding and number of funded fellows (maximum of 3) is decided by the EAFPS executive board. The Fellowship Committee advises the executive board about the best candidates, based on the application forms and, when indicated, online interviews. Special attention is given to your ambitions, prior research, peer reviewed publications and attended courses and meetings in the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. The Fellowship Committee strives to communicate who is selected for a funded fellowship in July. There will be no retrospective funding.
As a funded fellow, funds will be paid to you in two instalments. The first instalment is paid after 6 months of training when your fellowship director confirms appropriate progress on a signed in-training evaluation form . The second instalment is paid after passing the “London” EBCFPRS exam. If you fail the exam, funds are reserved to help you cover the expenses related to a second attempt to pass the exam in the following year.
