I hope you are well amidst the unprecedented crisis of Covid-19 pandemic. The EAFPS is concerned with the safety of our members and the welfare of their patients, and our thoughts are with those who are affected.
The EAFPS Executive Board has been continuously monitoring the situation which has been escalating from day to day. After considering all options, we had to take the difficult decision of cancelling the EAFPS Annual Meeting planned in Lodz, Poland in September 2020. However, education and exchange of ideas shouldn’t stop, and we will continue providing these by alternative means.
There will be a Virtual Meeting on the 19th-20th of September 2020 in place of the annual meeting this year. We are starting regular Webinars for our members in the very near future. We will also add more material, such as operative videos, to the EAFPS website which will be accessible to all our members.
Regarding our annual meetings; in September 2021 the meeting will stay in Nice, France as it was originally planned and in September 2022 our annual meeting will be in Lodz, Poland.
Please send any thoughts or suggestions that you may have. I am confident that by continuing to be positive and working together we will get through these difficult times and come out even better.
