UK FACE Congress 2026 invites EAFPS members to a live international webinar focused on the current controversies, technical refinements and decision-making shifts in modern deep plane face and neck lifting.

This is not a basic “SMAS versus deep plane” discussion. This is an insider conversation with an elite international faculty of facelift surgeons, exploring what they have changed in their practice over the last 12 months, what they no longer do, and which technical details they believe genuinely change outcomes.

What Will Be Discussed?
The discussion will focus on the questions experienced facial rejuvenation surgeons are actively debating:

  • How much deep plane release is enough?
  • When does deep plane release become excessive?
  • Which retaining ligaments matter most for midface, jowl and jawline correction?
  • Vertical, lateral or composite vectors — what actually changes the result?
  • Deep neck surgery: transformation or unnecessary risk?
  • Subplatysmal fat, digastric contour and submandibular gland management — where is the line between refinement and overreach?
  • Fixation, cabling sutures and tension-free closure — what improves longevity?
  • Haematoma, swelling and bruising — what protocols are actually changing recovery?
  • The pre-treated face — how do fillers, threads, RF, biostimulators and previous aesthetic treatments affect surgical planning?
  • How should surgeons combine skin optimisation, lasers, ultrasound and post-operative refinement with facial rejuvenation surgery?

The webinar brings together an eight-surgeon international faculty for a high-level, faculty-led discussion designed for experienced surgeons who want more than surface-level technique comparison.

The aim is to understand how expert surgeons think: how they select patients, plan vectors, decide on deep neck work, avoid complications, manage the pre-treated face and refine their results over time.

This webinar forms part of the UK FACE Congress 2026 Educational Series and previews the in-hospital live surgery masterclass taking place in Leeds this August.

At the main congress, these same questions will be taken into a live clinical environment with patient assessment, theatre broadcast, cadaveric anatomy, keynote interpretation, expert panels and immediate post-operative case discussion.
